My dad has a blood clot in his right leg (in the calf area). He went to the doctor's office Monday (after having pain and swelling in the area where the clot is for four days). The doctor said that he probably had a blood clot and should go to the hospital. The doctor at the hospital confirmed the blood clot and had him stay overnight for observation and to get set up on his meds. We got to bring him home last night.

So, today is his first day back at home (not that he was gone that long) and he's going to be off work for about the next ten or so days. I'm having to take care of him today. *sigh*

Major League Baseball

Seriously, I love you. But I do not need a loud-speaker, play-by-play description of the baseball game you're watching in the living room.

Your Disgruntled Daughter,

PS No, I do not want come and watch the playback. Sorry.

I haven't been on as much as usual; our internet connection was all screwed up--well, the modem/router was malfunctioning, so Comcast had to send a guy out to fix it. It's fixed (finally and for real, this time). Yay!

In other news, it's snowing here. Snowing. In March. In Arkansas. How crazy is that? I can't remember the last time it snowed in March (and it's been two years since it's even really snowed in Central Arkansas).

Also, Mom's (cell) phone stopped working, so we had to go to Alltel. Unfortunately, she couldn't upgrade her phone. Fortunately, I could upgrade mine. So, I got a new phone (this one) and Mom got my old one (this one, only in green)--which there was nothing wrong with. So it all worked out.

Granny Mac had a stroke. At least she thinks it was a stroke (but only a mild one). I don't know a lot right now--other than the fact that Dad is leaving to go to the hospital where she's being taken. I don't really know why, but he didn't want Mom and I to go. Maybe he thinks it would upset Granny Mac because she didn't want him come (because it was only a mild stroke and she didn't really think she needed to go to the hospital anyway, but the paramedics really wanted her to...).

Anyway, he's going to keep us posted on what's happening.
