#1 Song Meme

What was the #1 song the day you were born? Google the date and #1 song and then post your #1 song on your LJ - preferably with a Youtube vid if you can find one.

Dollhouse

So, last episode of Dollhouse aired tonight. I just finished watching it.

Anybody else cry?

My Fine is $175.10

Just read the "offenses" and if you've done it, you owe that fine. Keep going until you've read each "offense" and added up your total fine.

When you are done post this as "My fine is $........"

You don't have to confess your answers, just the amount of your fine.

(I need a better angry icon)

People do not teach their children boundaries these days. For example, by the time I seven or eight I knew not to go crawl up in the bushes in front my neighbor's house, peek into the window, and make scratching noises and hiss at the cat in the window. The little shits in my neighborhood, however, can't seem to grasp the concept that doing that is wrong. I'd go out there and give the little bastards a piece of my mind if I wasn't sick and in my pj's.

I guess I shouldn't have expected manners from the brats considering how, a year or so ago, they thought it would be fun to randomly open the front door and let the cats outside. It was unlocked because it was daylight and my dad and I were both home. That, of course, does not happen anymore; the front door is locked and/or barred at all times now. As it should be, honestly.

Maybe it's because the kids on the cul-de-sac I live in are mostly boys. (There are a few girls and I haven't had any problems with them.) I don't know. I do know that if it happens again, I'm going to scare the crap out of 'em. And if their parents say anything to me, well, I'll just tell them they should teach their kids not to peep into other people's windows.

Happy Thanksgiving!

(To those of you who celebrate it, that is.)

Swine Flu...

Mom has H1N1. I'm worried about her, which translates to hovering. I hope I'm being helpful.

Also, watching General Hospital. Olivia/Johnny is the worst thing ever on daytime TV. (Even though it's 9pm...SOAPNet shows daytime soaps at night for those of us missed them during the day. Mom and I were watching Dark Shadows.) Then again Nikolas/Elizabeth is pretty damn awful, as well.

Weddings and Whatnot

My best friend (Jessie) is getting married on Sunday! I'm so excited for her, I think I just might burst! XD They're just doing a Justice of the Peace thing right now and big wedding later after David (her fiancé) gets done with basic training and all that (he's going into the Air Force, I think).

In other, less joyous news, Faylinn had the last of her heartworm shots today. She still has to stay in her cage and have restricted activity for about another month, so we're not out of the woods just yet (hence the "less joyous" part).

Glee

I cannot wait for Glee tonight! OMG! This video of Kurt doing Beyonce's "Single Ladies" is just plain awesome. Tonight's episode is going to rock.

In other news, my insomnia is gone! Well, I say "gone," but what I really mean is: I gave in and got a sleep aid (unisom) and didn't fight the sleep aid when it made me, you know, sleepy. I got a full night of sleep (well, approximately 7 1/2 hours, which is basically perfect for me).

Great Movie Meme

I've done this before, but it's fun! Meme ganked from d_tepes.

1. Pick 20 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb, and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
5. No Googling/using IMDb search functions.

Edit: Since this is cross posted to my ij, lj, and dw accounts, and I'm not sure how editing each post will effect the others (I know that if I edit the dw entry, then the others edited as well, but I don't know about how editing just the ij or lj will effect the other posts), I'm going use all the answers on the same post...I hope that makes sense, because I really didn't think about it before posting.

Quotes are here )

In other news, I've started watching True Blood again. All it took was seeing Sookie/Eric icons and gifs to make me want to watch again. I'm all caught up and can't wait to see the next episode!

[insert witty subject line here]

There's some expensive shit going on with the air conditioner coil thingy and the furnace in my house. I don't even really understand it--except that it's been leaking into the ceiling of my bathroom (which sucks) and totally ruining the ceiling (big honkin' mold/water damage ring around the vent). The heat and air guys are here replacing the coil (and wtf is the coil, btw? I am so clueless on this) and the furnace as I type. Which, really, is very awesome of them because it's still crazy hot/humid outside right now--especially so to be working up in the attic, where there's no air conditioning.

In other news, Faylinn has heart worms. We didn't know that when we got her, not that it would have changed anything; we just would have gotten her treatment sooner. She's not on the actual medication to get rid of the worms, but she is on antibiotics (and pain pills). We're having to keep her locked up, which I don't think she likes, but is tolerating it pretty well. We also have to keep her on a leash whenever she's out of the cage. This means I'm on puppy-poo/pee duty all day (I've been taking her out every few hours). I hate that she's so restricted in everything, but we have to do it or she'll die. She could have a heart attack, or a clump of dead heart worms could break off and get into her blood stream and make its way to her lungs and cause an embolism.

Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3

As the subject says, this is a test. I'm checking to see how cross-posting from my dreamwidth to both my lj and my ij goes. So...Testing.

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah )

Edit: SUCCESS!
(And now I'm wondering if I can "cross-edit" as well...Ah, we'll see.)

Edit2: Also, SUCCESS! Cross-editing works!

    The Good:
  • I have a new tattoo! That's six (well, technically, five-and-a-half because this one is to cover up a crappy, $20 tattoo that I got about three or four years ago).
  • I'm 23! (My b-day was this past Saturday.)
  • I had a great b-day!

    The Bad:
  • I've still got a cold.
  • My ankle is ridiculously swollen from the tattoo (it's located just above my ankle and the tendons and muscles are all stressed--for some reason, I have no idea why, tattoos tend to stress the muscles they're on when you first get them), from walking around downtown Little Rock after getting said tattoo Saturday night, and then from walking around Wal-Mart yesterday for a few hours. All made possible because it didn't heal right when I sprained it back in December.
  • I'm having to skip yoga tonight because of the swollen ankle.
  • Faylinn has heart worms. But we're taking care of her (getting her healthier and ready to take the treatments).

    The Ugly:
  • Nothing! My tattoo is so gorgeous it cancels out the swollen ankle.

Pretty tattoo )
